I find that energy plays such a big role in gaining clarity and defining what a “meaningful” life looks like. Personally, I am on what feels like a never ending journey to discover my true passion and calling. I am not in a rush to get there, and appreciate all of the learning experiences along the way. Over the past two years I have noticed and been highly aware of a very real spike in my energy and passion in personal leadership, discovering our “Unique Voice”, and sharing from a place of authenticity and vulnerability.
I have had the opportunity to facilitate a couple of personal leadership development classes for high schools over the past few months… Yesterday I got to read the responses from students in one of the classes and was blown away with the maturity, wisdom, strong voice, and courageous leadership these young adults already possess. From understanding the bigger implications of their leadership legacy, to telling some very real and personal stories, I was filled with hope and inspiration!
Reading these powerful reflections brought up a few key learnings for me:
- We ALL have an opportunity to positively change our world. This is a result of the hundreds of decisions we make everyday, essentially molding how we “Show Up in the World“.
- All it takes to change a life is showing someone you really genuinely care… Think a smile, saying hello, a warm hug – these are sometimes the most powerful experiences we can share with each other.
- I am going to challenge myself to act courageously whenever I can show someone I genuinely care, instead of letting that opportunity slip away because “I don’t think it will make a difference”.
- Sharing a personal “Lollipop Moment” creates a powerful authentic space where we can share and learn from each other.
Finally, I have realized that this type of work is aligned with my core values and passions…
I am putting a call out to the Universe to continue to realize opportunities to work with amazing young leaders of the next generation!
